One day, a mentor told me I should learn to do certain things, if I wanted to make progress in life. Those things made me miserable.

I told him that I preferred happiness to progress.

Sometimes, you’ve got to say no.

You will never develop the confidence to walk up to someone in a room, until you first understand that you are worthy. “No”, is not a measure of that worth. It simply means the other person has exercised their sovereign right to choose, just like you did.

You should move on.
