I recently read Proverbs 6:16-19, where King Solomon described 6 things God hates. Verse 19 reminds me of some people on social media – “…a false witness who pours out lies, a person who sows discord in a family.”
There are some on social media who love contention. They are anarchists who experience joy when the timeline is on fire with vitriol and incensed argument.
They have mastered Nigeria’s online trigger words; bombs they lob into conversations from time to time, to create an explosion of abuse.
Words and phrases like, “All men are scum”, “Olosho”, “Slay Queen”, “What a Man Earns”, “Cooking”, “Feminism”, “APC”, “PDP”, “Buharist”. The list goes on and on.
These troublemakers enjoy the spectacles they create. They are faceless anonymous puppet masters pulling on the timeline’s strings.
If you value peace, you would do well to ignore them. You would rush to mute and block them, for they only leave destruction, division and strife in their wake.#Socialmedia anarchists experience joy when the timeline is on fire with vitriol and incensed argument.
