I no longer obsess about what the Church in Nigeria is doing or not doing. I am the Church too. Let me focus on my own constituency, instead of getting my panties in a twist over what others are doing in their own constituencies.
If you ruminate too much on what is “wrong”, you will become depressed and won’t have enough energy to design and execute what could be right. You may also become judgmental and self-righteous.
Sometimes the best way to “protest” is to do the hard work of demonstrating what should be. Put in the work. Showcase what you think should be done. Talk is cheap.
Anytime you blindly pull down things without providing better alternatives, you create a vacuum. Sometimes that vacuum incubates things you never envisaged.
I’m careful about judging others, even Government. Because I need to examine what I have done with the little power I have in my home, in my workplace and in my church. What have I done with my power?
I work in the corporate world and the same evil we complain about in Government is alive and well in many companies. We are oppressed and also oppress others.
