He ignites my head
And then shuts it down
He tantalizes with intriguing colloquy
Stimulates and fills me
Then he shuts me down
Perhaps I’m not interesting enough
Or intelligent enough to hold his attention
Thus deserving his full consideration
So he sends me back to the place where I search for words
Delve into minds for recreation
Browse through profiles for consolation
I have tasted his peculiar brand of words
Reveled in the intricate complexities of his mind
Vicariously mind-walked his experiences
And consumed them in bite-sized delicacies
Now I must return to the mind-numbing endurance
Of ordinary words
Empty words with no timbre
Half formed words with no music
Words that leave me empty, tired and wanting more
Wanting him
