Sometimes when you’re in a brainstorm session at work, after many hours, an idea is finally adopted. To your surprise, it’s the same idea you mooted hours before that everyone ignored. Now the same idea has been selected but no one remembers you were the first person to raise it. You don’t receive the credit. Someone else walks into the glorious sunset on the back of your thinking.

You’ve got to fight for your ideas. If you truly believe in your contributions, bring them up again and again until you are heard; until you become identified with them.

For more of my random thoughts about life, you should get my new book, UNSCRIPTED.
