I spoke to a young man recently about a business proposition. He was more concerned about the money he would make, than the opportunities he would gain. I’ve also noticed that many entrepreneurs seem obsessed with people stealing their ideas.
Some entrepreneurs assume they will have only one great idea in life. So, they guard their business concepts jealously. They think that single deal will be their only source of prosperity. Employees do the same. They hold on to jobs desperately. Some embezzle funds because they are not confident of another chance to “hammer”.
Each idea and every opportunity is a building block to the next one. Believe in your capabilities. You have so many years of good products ahead of you. Be more concerned about implementing your ideas than hoarding them, in the hope of a big pay-off. Experience will make your next idea or job better. Let go.
