It’s so difficult to explain to folks that money doesn’t guarantee happiness. The typical response is, “Let me make money first, so I can find out.”

Happiness lies in relationships – with friends, family, society and God. That feeling of being valued, understood and recognised for who you are.

People rarely tell you that money can’t buy loyalty. It doesn’t protect you from people who are determined to steal from you. It doesn’t give you the peace of mind to enjoy your hard-earned wealth. But, relationship does.

Money doesn’t equate to access. People will still shut the door to some places, no matter how much money you make. Relationship opens the door.

This one is most painful – you can have all the money in the world and still not find the things you desire most, like a spouse who truly gets you.
