When I meet someone and am trying to decide whether to trust them, I’m more likely to consider whether they’re kind, charitable, reliable and hardworking than to wonder who they’ve been sleeping with and under what circumstances.
Therefore I find the Christian world’s obsession with “sexual” judgment peculiar. Some of us have missed the plot about grace and don’t even understand God’s standards for righteousness or living a good life.
If I were to set myself up as the judge of a person’s sexual activity, I would be presumptuous. I would also open myself up to be judged for everything I do for pleasure, escape or self-abuse. I’m unsure I would be able to bear the scrutiny.
